Idaho Cast its Votes for Donald J. Trump and J.D. Vance on 12/17/24

During a a ceremony at the Idaho State Capitol on 12/17/2024, Idaho’s four electors cast their votes for United States President Donald J. Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance. Idaho’s four electors were:

• Doyle Beck (former Bonneville County Republican Central Committee Chair)
• Vicki Keen (Idaho GOP National Committeewoman)
• Jean Mollenkopf-Moore (Idaho GOP Region VI Chair, Boise County Central Committee Chair)
• Brent Regan (Kootenai County Central Committee Chair)

Idaho GOP Chairwoman Dorothy Moon spoke about the importance of the Electoral College. Then, each of the four electors shared their experiences at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin this past summer and briefly described the importance of their actions. Then they cast their official ballots on behalf of the Idaho voters.

The official ballots will be sealed and carried to Washington DC where Vice President Kamala Harris will open them on January 6, 2025, during a Joint Session of Congress to certify the Electoral College votes.

BCRCC Chair and Idaho elector Jean Mollenkopf-Moore wrote:

It was for me an honor of a lifetime in the Republican Party to represent rural Idaho in this important act. Today was a great day to be a part of Making America Great Again.

Thank you to Boise County’s Pat Minto, Thelma Medina, Steve Moore and Dave Jakovac for spending the morning at the Capitol to witness the proceedings held in the Lincoln Auditorium.
