Several members of the Boise County Republican Central Committee set up their fair booth in Emmett, Idaho (Gem County) and worked the Gem/Boise County Fair (July 31-Aug 3, 2024). We talked with many fair goers and shared Republican values and political information. We registered new voters and encouraged others to get out the vote in their precincts.
We shared enthusiasm for the upcoming November 5, 2024 election, provided information on the Trump/Vance Presidential ticket and encouraged efforts to get out the vote. We gave info on the District 8 Liberty candidates running for office: Christy Zito – District 8 Senator; Rob Beiswenger – District 8 Seat A Representative; Faye Thompson – District 8 Seat B Representative.
We provided educational handouts on the topic of “Vote NO on Proposition 1” as this will appear on the November 5th ballot. Stop Ranked Choice Voting; Stop Open Primaries. Phil McGrane, Idaho Secretary of State, has issued a statement advising taxpayers of the extreme cost to implement this way of voting. Education on how to do this “Common Core” kind of voting will be needed for citizens. Just say NO to Ranked Choice Voting in Idaho. It is an attempt to create chaos at the ballot box making the ballot as confusing as possible; throwing away incorrectly marked ballots; instant runoff voting utilizing computer algorithms to calculate multiple rounds of ranking to come up with the “right” results that are very difficult to audit; undermining faith in our elections. Red state legislatures like Florida, Tennessee, Montana and South Dakota have already banned this election scheme. The lessons are clear – steer clear of ranked choice voting. It is an assault on our elections and an attack on Idaho’s democracy.
November 5, 2024, is fast approaching. No Republican can afford to sit out this election. No excuses. Vote! It will take all registered Republicans to swamp the polls with votes for the Presidential Republican ticket Trump/Vance! We cannot have a dismal 20% turnout such as in the primary election where few determine our future. We must surprise the Democrats with a turnout like they have never seen before. With this, even the illegal votes cast by illegal aliens will be overcome. Our nation is in peril under the current administration and We the People can and will make a difference on November 5, 2024. et out the vote! Vote like your children and grandchildren’s future depends on this election because it does.
